Dean on Palin’s health care claims: ‘She made that up’
Posted: August 9th, 2009 01:30 PM ET

From From CNN's David deSola

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean told CNN Sunday that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin had deliberately made up charges that the Obama administration’s health care bill would lead to euthanasia.

“About euthanasia, they're just totally erroneous. She just made that up,” he said. “Just like the ‘Bridge to Nowhere’ that she supposedly didn't support.

“There's nothing like euthanasia in the bill. I practiced medicine for a long time, and of course you have to have end of life discussions — the patients want that. There's nothing… euthanasia's not in this bill.”

Dean was referring comments Palin made late Friday in a post on her Facebook page. In her post, the former Republican vice presidential candidate said President Obama’s health care plan would create a “death panel” that would weigh whether her parents or son Trig were “worthy of health care.”

1. Dean is great on the shows. He needs to be parked on them for now. He's the best advocate.
She is so despicable it is breathtaking. Such a disgusting, vile liar.

2. It will be a wonderful day in America when caring, intelligent
people will not have to comment on what the dufus Sarah Palin says. One day soon (I hope). The MSM will realize that she is a nobody.

4. MTP: David Brooks called her 'crazy'
It was satisfying to feel ahead of the curve in terms of opinion of the past week, a feat made possible by, among other things, this very board.

David Brooks seems a little more reasonable than most of the Republic® Party shills, and he tends to bristle when these supposed heads of his chosen party act like ignoranamuses.

Hypocrite Sarah pimps her disabled child once more.

8. David Brooks is a thinking republican.
I'm not saying his thinking is always clear or correct, but at least he can explain why he believes what he does. He's a republican intellectual, if you will, though you could easily argue that expression is an oxymoron. At any rate, he's got to be disgusted with the rest of his party, and the rest of his party doesn't give a damn what he thinks or says. He's trying to think long term, and the rest are just not thinking.

5. to be filed under "No Shit"
When are we going to be able to "Baker Act" the republicans and have them put away for observation?

Baker Act- a Florida Law that allows for those who might be a danger to themselves or others to be involuntarily committed for up to 72 hours for observation. Verb- to "Baker Act" someone is to commit for observation someone who is a danger to others or themselves against their will.

Rebublicanism and Conservatism is a mental illness. The sooner we realize this, the sooner treatment can begin to HELP them.

6. And he called her comments an incitement to violence.
We need more Dems out there like Dean telling it like it is about the deliberate and dangerous misinformation the republicans are planting. This was great.

Thanks for posting this!
