I spend a lot of time in a state of anger here. I've done my best to insulate myself from the goons and their society. And even under the best circumstances, I find it all but intolerable. I mention this only because if anyone has a hard time following my own advice, it's me. My father has a great relationship with his sister. She thinks of him as a genius. But over her years being married to an authoritarian, even after his death, she still can't understand that Obama isn't going to ruin the US. So we know how difficult it can be to create that understanding.
