Craig’s List Animal Rescue – Tell your friends
If anyone has recently Found a Lost or stray animal lately please check Craig’s List “Lost and Found”

My wife’s dog snuck out approximately 12: noon Saturday. My wife was seriously worried sick over the little girl. We had scoured the neighborhoods, listening for barking dogs. We posted some 200 flyers all over town offering a REWARD for her. We knocked on doors asking if anyone if they had seen the little 12” tall Black and White Rat Terrier.

Then the call came at 12:30 am. A woman had sighted Mickey in her back yard after Mickey has set off the security light. Thank God she checked Craig’s List to see if some one in her area had reported a missing Rat Terrier.

She wouldn’t except the $100 Reward so I’m on my way over with my 2 sons to Weed Eat her back yard (which is terribly over grown because of this woman’s health issues) and fix her fence.

God I love meeting GOOD People in this world

1. So happy for you!
Stories like this don't always end so happily.

A few weeks ago, I posted about someone who lost his dog and found it via a craigslist posting.

You are very sweet to clear the weeds out of this lady's yard.

Hugs to you and your pup-dog.

Cher

3. Wonderful story...and thanks to you for not just taking your dog
and leaving the woman's yard and fence alone.

4. I love this story.
First of all, I love it because your dog was found. Second of all, I love it because the lady who found her did not accept any money. Third of all, I love it because not only you, but your sons are going over to this lady's house to take care of her yard and fence. This is just awesome all around. It's the way the world should be. :)

5. You have your dog back, wife is calmer I bet. Woman gets weeds cut
My guess is the karma quotient is high all the way around.

Life is good.

Thanks for the tip re Craig's list for lost/found pets. Will pass it along.

9. Indeed! I have health issues and a badly overgrown yard and broken fence
too. My neighbors cleaned up the front yard for me yesterday and I was so grateful! It's very demoralizing to have physical evidence of your shortcomings growing all around you; you have no idea how much your efforts on her yard will lift her spirits!

6. For sure double good on you for that weed eating man.
That is just too good and too American. Your post has made my day. The fact that she won't take the money and the fact that you are working it off like you should just makes me feel glad all over. While your over there you better check her rain gutters too, it's coming up on that time of the year.

Again, getting the dog back is great, but the connection you made is what life is all about. Perhaps your family just made a new friend of someone that could use a few more friends.

Good, good and great. That's what you did with this situation.

7. When I had room at the inn for a new kitty last winter, I found one
throuogh a private party adoption on CL and he has worked out GREAT. When I have clients in the market for a new cat, I tell them to check CL and a couple of the local rescues. And our city shelters, of course.

12. I didn't even have to leave the house to get my new kitteh.
I feed the ferals in the neighborhood. Saw what I thought was my tiger kitteh with them, opened the door, kitteh ran in. Then I found out it wasn't mine (wasn't being the operative word here). Now, a month later, "Ripley" has made himself at home. I named him Ripley,as in, believe it or not, there's another cat in this house!
