How DARE republicans say Obama is into death panels and the other baseless garbage?

This past legislative session, Pawlenty ended the General Assistance Medical Care program. GAMC covers most homeless Minnesotans. They'll lose that coverage come March.

"People on anti-psychotic meds who are trying to figure out, 'Well do I wean myself off? How do I do that?' People with diabetes insulin. These real life or death issues. They're scared," said Lange.

Elssa Cardenez was on GAMC for more than a year. It paid for her drug treatment. She's been clean and off the streets for 16 months.

"I would just hate for the cuts to be done and not have other people get out of it the way I did," Cardenez worried.

Hennepin County Medical Center sees the most patients on GAMC in Minnesota. It covers 10 percent of the hospital's budget. Of the patients on the program getting treatment at the hospital, 30 percent are homeless.

Michael Harristhal worries it will drive up cost for everyone if the program ends.

(emphasis added)

Article has more.

Has Pawlenty done a damn thing for job creation in America, so the GAMC program wouldn't be necessary in the first place? Of course not...

and everyone knows it.

As the GOP's poll numbers turn sharply south
in the next week or so, there will be some hilarious
backpedalling. Sorry GOP, you can't put teh stupid
back in the bottle.

2. CNN reported on Friday, that GOP polls are slightly ticking upward
As Dems on the Hill fall. No, it was not great movement
but it should give Dems pause. It was only 2 or 3 points
as I remember, but should not be ignored.

10. Much of this is being based on Zeke Emanuel, Rahm's brother
madfloridian started a thread about the sources of the RW talking points. Zeke provides enough quotes to partially support their concerns. I suggest you read about his writing before totally dismissing the RW concerns.

Rather than dismiss them out of hand or make fun of the demonstrators, we first need to understand how this is being presented to them and work to clarify things and allay their fears.
