Simple question to DUers
What exactly have the Rushican right wing nutters won from 2006?
What have they or the Rushicans in the Senate or Congress been able to block since the elections in November?

Can you itemize Obama's successes since January?

Why are you allowing these bat shit crazy lunatics to believe they can stop a damn thing?

2. It sucks because the left is against Obama as much as the right is...
The "all or nothing" team has teamed up with the "nothing" team, and they're working for the predictable result. We'll see what happens.

5. And I'm really, really sick of seeing that here. You'd think that at
some point they'd think maybe it was time to close ranks. But no...

9. The predictable result is an insurance industry subsidy with no public option.
Cuts in Medicare and Social Security, and no negotiating drug prices.

Good luck blaming that on the Left.

3. It's not just Republicons that are against meaningful reform.
It's not just a few Blew Dogs in our party that are against it either.

6. I used to see "liberal republican" around here in NY
since 2006 I think the wing nuts have won the GOP - they have made intellectualism a bad thing.
Bush/Cheney have put the neo-cons out in the wilderness. They can't stop a damn thing.
However corporatist can still stop Obama - The Dem and GOP parties are owned by corporate interests. The neo-cons don't need to stop anything - the corporations will do that for them.

As far as Obama's successes -
1- Strong support for escalation in Afghanistan
2- Sotomayer confirmed
3- Spector defector
4- Stimulus "package" bailout II for wall street.

----
It will come down to health care for Obama. If he can get my $40 copays down AT ALL, I will see it as mission accomplished. (less uninsured, more competitive America on the world stage = cherries on top)

7. They've gotten a number of victories
The most notable have been the continuing wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. I really thought we'd see those wars de-funded after the 2006 elections.

George W. Bush ended up on January 20, 2009 with as many troops in both places as he had the day after Election Day, 2006.

10. I agree with you re the continuation of the wars
but Obama was clear about Afghanistan which is why I have never supported his foreign policy.
