The real terrorists

On September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden unleashed 19 men who were well trained, dedicated, radicalized and well funded to attack America. In less than two hours, they turned a sleeping country into a fearful, terrorized state.

Now the Republican party, the radical right and big medical interests have turned loose thousands of terrorists upon us to make us fearful again.

She refers to the Advanced Health Care Directive provisions of the current bills. Don't listen to the fact that HR 3000 is not under discussion in this Congress. Don't listen to the fact that the AHCD provisions are to encourage "living wills" and hospice care.

A man pushing a relative in a wheelchair yells out that his handicapped brother will be allowed to die by "Obama's death panels". Fear.

An old person fears that his benefits will be cut off under America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009.

Teabaggers attend townhall after townhall, screaming vehemently at their representative to terrorize the Legislator into believing his bill will not pass or that he or she will not get elected. Fear.

Limbaugh accuses SEIU and the Teamsters of being Nazis (he calls everyone Nazi's doesn't he? The logic of the mirror, I guess) and says that they are coming to town halls to practice brownshirt tactics. He tells this listeners to be prepared to fight. Fights break out at town halls.

A man tweets that if you have a carry permit, you should bring a gun to town hall meetings and silence the opposition. Now there is real terrorism flayed open for all of us to see.

Where does it stop? Kossacks yesterday posted hundreds of comments about how someone will die from this reactionary approach to this legislation. Perhaps. They are just making you fearful. But we still have time to stop it.

Call it what it is:

Terrorism

Stop the terrorists. Call them that at the town hall meetings you are going to. Call them fear mongers if you don't like the word terrorist. But you need to call them out for what they are.

They are a small group of radicalized, dedicated and well funded people who would do anything to terrorize the American people. They remind me of 19 other people in 2001 who did the same thing.
