Fight Fire With Fire on Health Care
We ought to be scaring the shit out of every old person out there by telling them the truth about Republicans: (1) They consider Medicare socialized medicine and they want it repealed. (2) They consider Social Security socialism and they want it gone or controlled by Wall Street fat cats.

Why do we sit around like pussies while they run their lying scams about health care on the people when we could spread the ugly truth about them far and wide and they'd get the blowback they so richly deserve?

Who's with me?

1. Better yet - tell them the reason Republicans oppose this bill
is that doctors and hospitals make skads of money hooking up old people to machines instead of letting them die in peace.

5. Not all doctors and hospitals are the ones making "skads of money" ...
... the enemy here is the middleman, the insurance syndicates.

2. good point. more than that. let Americans with jobs know their insurance is at risk
if things continue the way they are. They could become like the growing number of companies that just bag the idea and expense of health insurance and let the employees fend for themselves.

Is telling the truth, irregardless of whether it scares people really "bad"? You have got to be kidding. They SHOULD be scared because these right wing freaks want to get rid of both social security and medicare

Ultimate WMD: Where Is The OUTRAGE?

US Health Insurance Industry, which is either directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of approximately 18,000 Americans yearly.

We have spent billions of dollars on two wars started as retribution for the deaths of 3,000 people on 9/11, and the outrage in this country was palpable.

So, where is the outrage now? Why isn't Congress up in arms? Why don't they declare the Health Insurance Industry an enemy combatant?

The answer is sad, but simple. It's all about the money.

War is profitable for those in power, so war becomes an industry, and Americans suffer and die so the Powers That Be can profit.

The Health Insurance Industry is profitable for those in power, so Americans suffer and die to fill the coffers of the Powers That Be.

Reform will only occur when the citizens are as outraged about the numbers of deaths caused by the Health Insurance Industry as they were about the loss of life on 9/11.

6. Nope, I disagree
We need to look like the adults, and the disruptors need to look like the loonies.

Demonizing Rethugs sounds good, but Bushco pushed through Part D of Medicare, even with the doughnut hole, it still made the oldsters happy.

This is not a battle for the old folks, this is a battle for the people who are really paying the bills in this country, the folks who are working. We need to have them on our side if we are to win this battle.

9. Excellent!
I don't believe in bringing a knife to a gunfight or tying one arm behind my back. Republicans are using lies and distortions and they are going to either defeat reform or so weaken it that only the industry will benefit.

We can use the truth and rub their noses in it to set them back on their heels and on the defensive. Where they have us now on false grounds.

Politics ain't beanball. If you ask me, if you can't throw a punch back you should get out of the arena and sit quietly on the sidelines.
