I'm no fan of Manson, and I sure as hell won't shed a tear when he's gone. But I firmly believe that the state has no business putting anyone to death. It's a principle that I strongly believe in, and I'm not going to make exceptions based on pure emotion and desire for vengeance.

Yes, I'll be glad when he's dead as well - but it shouldn't be at the hands of the state of California.
