...but if you listened to the MSM, no one wants one. If the public option is gutted....then any healthcare "reform" will be a toothless tiger designed to line the pockets of big insurance.

How can we fight the astroturf?????

1. I think the only way...
is to make it as clear as possible to Congress that we will make it a point to un-elect any member that didn't support a strong public plan. In fact, I kind of think that maybe we ought to tell them that we're going to un-elect them all, if we don't get a public plan. In other words, I don't really care who they try to point fingers at. Make it happen, or we will do our best to replace you.

Kind of like the boot-camp approach to discipline. If one soldier fucks up, the whole squad cleans the latrine with their toothbrushes. Solves that finger-pointing problem right smartly.

5. On this I fully agree.
I could never vote for a republican but I can work hard against any encumbant during the primaries.

4. I just spoke to a man who believes Public Option means Socialized ...
Canadian Style Health Care for everyone. This poor man is on Medicare and thinks we want to take away his choice. Nothing I could say could convince him otherwise. He actually said. "Obama wants to take away my doctor and make me stand in lines like in Canada".

I think that the problem is that most Americans are simply stupid.

I'm not extra smart or informed but the more people I speak to the more I have to wonder. I can deal with a greedy rich republican being against health care but poor people without adequate insurance are marching to keep being under insured. Just blood simple in every way.
