Am I the only one who sees this as a hit piece against HC reform dressed up as legit news?

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – An unruly Little Rock crowd heckled and shouted at two Arkansas Democratic congressmen Wednesday, accusing them of supporting a government-backed health plan that would take away Americans' personal choice and freedom.

At one point, U.S. Rep. Mike Ross sat with his head in his hands while the crowd shouted. He and fellow Democratic Rep. Vic Snyder told audience members at a forum at Arkansas Children's Hospital that they wouldn't support a completely government-run, single-payer health insurance plan.

"But that's what Obama wants!" an audience member shouted, leading to more heckling.

Ross, who represents south Arkansas, sits on the Energy and Commerce Committee and has led his fellow Blue Dog Democrats in delaying a vote on the health care overhaul until at least September. Ross is chairman of the Blue Dogs' health care task force.

The Blue Dogs — a group of mostly Southern, fiscally conservative Democrats — have not committed to supporting or opposing the bill yet. A deal reached last week calls for exempting more small businesses from a requirement to offer coverage, cutting subsidies to help people buy health insurance and making any government-sponsored insurance plan negotiate payment rates with medical providers.

Lawmakers across the country are encountering growing public doubts about President Barack Obama's push to remake the system for providing medical care, evident in polls that find confidence in Obama's handling of the issue has fallen since January. Concerns are growing about government-run health plans, a growing federal deficit, and the impact on small businesses and end-of-life provisions.

Nice job, print media. Broadcast these jackholes as what the entire country feels about this HC reform!

Barack, GROW SOME TESTICLES AND PUT THESE PEOPLE IN THEIR PLACE!!! Hit them as hard and with as much venom as they attempt to smear you with. Take a page from their playbook and "ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK." The difference if, you're right and they are wrong!

This should not even be a debate!

1. Perhaps we should be the ones growing testicles and showing up at these Town Halls,
and changing the story.....

Perhaps the President can't do it all by himself, while we complaint and talk beaucoup shit at our computers. Perhaps he needs us.

2. Good Idea...
But most of all.. WE need the support. They'll bend to the most noise made, as most politicians do. What happened to the March on Washington"? Hell, they did it in the 60's... why not now?

3. There was a march for Health Care; 10 Thousand showed up in DC last month....
did you hear about it?

Was it reported by the media?
Yeah....didn't think so.

The problem is the media....
and so, that ain't gonna get solved
by putting all of the accountability in one place.

Just remember... http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x8568101

Now, what are you, as an individual gonna do about it?
Cause it will take all of us, not just one man.

5. Nope.. didn't hear about it.
Well, I have sent emails to bluedogs and my congressman and senator, and some of us here were tossing ideas around for a spell. Such as the march, or a cross country rally. Most people are on hard times. I am not, and available for anything. I will show up at town hall meetings if they happen. And I've been thinking about doing a local concert (I'm a musician) or something to that effect, and have talked with a few others about it. You got any ideas or know of anything that's going on? Oh.. I supported the Dean movement thing too..

4. That's a great idea.
I live 7000 miles away in Asia, so showing up to one of these events would be near impossible for me.

All I can do is write and call (and even calling is almost impossible due to the time difference of 12 hours.
