Wyoming police Taser 76-year-old tractor driver

GLENROCK, Wyo. (AP) - A 76-year-old Wyoming man shot with a Taser by police while driving an antique tractor in a small-town parade says it hurt but he's OK.

Retired truck driver Bud Grose of Glenrock told The Associated Press in a telephone interview on Wednesday that he has a heart condition but didn't require any medical attention.

Investigators say police in Glenrock used a Taser on the man after he disobeyed orders. They say the tractor may have hit a car.

Two officers were placed on paid leave and state agents are investigating, but the police chief says it doesn't appear any policies were violated.

and before a person's brain has time to process the audio, they're electrocuted. Talk about trigger happy. They get these devices so they don't have to use deadly force, and now they don't even say 'halt', or 'stop', they just shoot. New rules of use have to be implemented.

Seriously, a material called Thor Shield is available to line all garments, thus you can make yourself taser proof all over.

I cited relevant CA law and told him I would be glad to go to the local cop shop and set his chief straight on the matter. He was positively incensed at that, but backed down. Dept policy is not law and is subject to court review.
