The Health Care Bill

Can any of you guys tell me where I can find a copy of this on the web? I tried googling it, but after the official White House page, all the links were to negative articles, which of course is a little scary. Anyhow, since I like to actually deal with facts instead of listening to Rush Limbaugh and yelling "ditto", I wanted to look it up for myself before writing to the editor of the Review Journal here in Las Vegas. I want to answer a letter in which the writed claimed the government would take control of our bank accounts, ration health care, and of course, make old people die early.

The links are a great help. I know the bill isn't complete yet, but the guy that wrote to the paper was quoting pages and lines from the bill, so I wanted to read them for myself. For instance, he stated that on page 59, lines 21 & 24, the government will have direct access to your bank accounts for electronic transfers. Now, I know that sounds scary, but right now the government has direct access to our account for my husband's social security benefits, just as our mortgage company does in order to automatically deduct our mortage payment.

I would just like to see exactly what is said in the document, especially since I intend to go to Harry Reid's town hall meeting (if he has one) with a few friends, and I want to be able to intelligently counter the loony tunes that are sure to show up. I'm hoping I get to have a "Victor Lazlo" moment.

But like I said, the first two pages of my google search turned up nothing but articles from the likes of the Heritage Foundation. All very negative as to why it wouldn't work. I just wanted to read the bill (in whatever form it's currently in) for myself.:toast:

and while you are at it, try HR 676 (for a real health bill).
