Journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling arrive back home - lots of pics

Journalists Euna Lee (R) and Laura Ling (L) arrive back to their families, after being released by North Korean authorities yesterday, at Hangar 25 in Burbank, California August 5, 2009. The two American journalists freed by North Korea after months of detention returned home to a tearful family reunion on Wednesday accompanied by former President Bill Clinton, who secured their release in a meeting with the reclusive state's leader Kim Jong-il.

4. That pic of Bill Clinton and Al Gore nose to nose and the look on Clinton's face...
He's almost saying to me "Hey Buddy, I did it, I got 'em back"

Anyone looking at those pics and not feel something inside is dead.
All the right wingers screaming about how we "appeased" the Dear Leader can kiss my ass.

The emotions on those two womens faces say it all.

"We're Back!"

In more ways than one.
Once again, the adults are back in charge.

Chimpy just dropped his glass of Jim Beam somewhere in Dallas.

23. Assuming he bothers to pour it into a glass. Please.
They've just repudiated eight years of BushCo* policy.

Damn, that's gotta smart.

You know, the one who saw DPRK on their passport and told the man with the white hair he would have to wait a minute while he called his supervisor.

17. Wonderful and touching
by the way, I believe one of the Ling sisters (not this sister) was profiled in a PBS series called "Becoming American" and interestingly enough (according to a picture I saw in that show) they have another sister Pam, who was on the Real World SF back in 1994.

26. Sure its all very sweet and nice for the families
Edited on Fri Aug-07-09 03:11 PM by LiberalLovinLug
But Bolton and Morris said it would be bad for America. These two women should've rotted in a N. Korean work camp. Its a horrible mistake. Now all the world's leaders will take a second look at Kim Jong Il and decide he's not such a bad guy after all. I mean look at what he did, he has freed these two innocent American journalists!...(after he imprisoned them on bogus spying charges and sentenced them to 12 years of hard labor). He has saved them from himself!!! And by meeting with Bill Clinton, who Morris on every other occasion defines him as the devil incarnate but in this particular instance only is one of the greatest respected world figures, it further cements the idea of Kim Jong Il as a man of high character and great taste. This "photo-op" for Clinton as well as KJI will melt the hearts of the world and all will be forgiven and forgotten, with people around the world joining the mass love-ins for our Dear Dear Leader!

Long live respected benevolent world statesman and our Fearless Leader Kim Jong Il!!!!!!
