Green Bay newspaper reporting on the tactics of disrupting town hall meetings
Disruption at Steve Kagen town hall meetings not isolated
Crowd hostile for forum in Appleton, too

snip-

Tactics used at Monday's forum at the Brown County Central Library in Green Bay followed the strategy outlined by Bob MacGuffie of the Tea Party Patriots, an organization whose theme is "declaring independence from tax and spending politicians."

Kagen, D-Appleton, was repeatedly shouted down at the forum that was attended by a capacity crowd of 300 people, with many more turned away.

The Web site Politico.com on Sunday published a leaked memo written by MacGuffie, "Rocking the Town Halls — Best Practices," in which he detailed how to infiltrate and harass the forums. In the memo, MacGuffie described how the strategy was successful in ruining Rep. Jim Himes' town hall meeting in Fairfield, Conn., and encouraged opponents of Obama's health-care reform proposal to use shouting and interruptions. MacGuffie could not be reached Tuesday for comment.

Esther Hartzheim of Green Bay said she wanted to have some important questions answered Monday night but left after a half-hour.

"I couldn't take it anymore," she said. "It was clear people weren't going to allow him (Kagen) to speak. The whole process was ugly. I'm very concerned and angry because this is an important issue."

3. Can a few DUers take on the rabid wingers in the comments, please?
I don't have a log in and I'm at work and can't spend inordinate amounts of time doing this.

I have done it in the past, though.

Get to it, DUers!! :D

4. Can we dig a little deeper into the identity of vociferous individuals who are disruptive "stars?"
Instead of allowing the mob to remain anonymous?

Are any of them willing to answer questions and even go on camera about their decision to attend and the source of the information which got them up at arms?

There are misguided minds here which need to be changed, mixed in among the brown shirt bots.

And there is a big fat right-wing balloon which needs a few more tiny holes stuck into it. Not by Keith or Rachel or Maher, but by the disrupters themselves.

5. And do these people get arrested like the Baucus 8?
Just curious. It seems these folks are allowed to disrupt and we can't even provide quiet dissent at a political rally with "disruptive" clothing.
