Photoshopped? What Do You All Think?

Note the machine-made letterforms on the careless sign.
Note the shadow the slightly curved and in placed bent cardboard sign casts on itself.
Note the shadows the letters seem to cast on the cardboard.
Note the angle between the letterform baseline and the bottom of the cast shadows.
Note the dead-straight baseline of the letterforms, even towards the left where the sign curves.
But note too the absolutely even transition from the color of the letter shadows to the color of the sign shadow, and that the angle of the letterform shadows seems to match the angle of the other cast shadows in the photograph.

5. Yeah, I guess they look photoshopped. Strange, though, the blonde woman

in the second photograph looks like she was told to lie down and enjoy it. The red and black print don't look "real". The man in the first photo doesn't know his grammar, i.e., "your" and "you're".

When were these photos supposedly taken? The bottom photo looks like May judging from the way people are dressed and the blooming azalea in the background.

The top photo looks like early April because the trees have no leaves.


If these photos are being pawned off as recent, they are clearly false.

16. I think they could be real

I work in printing with Photoshop and surely they could be fakes. The cardboard sign is curving toward the camera. The baseline of the letters is paralell to what it would be if the sign were flat. The slight upward tilt of the sign reveals a similarly slight curvature of the baseline.

The letters appear to be 3 dimensional and are throwing shadows even when they're in a shadow. I'm guessing the second one is photoshopped too. The big sign looks like it was pasted in over whatever she was holding originally.

I ran the image through my graphics program and looked for pixel disparity and I say yes. I focused on the sign and the face of the sign carrier - upper image.
