The 'Real' housewives of ATL or any of those damned shows...
Why do people worship these idiots? Do people STILL want to BE these dipshits? Have we not figured out that people like these and the desire to emulate them DESPITE REALITY is a good chunk of what got us here in the first place?

2. if it weren't for the economic and political ramifications
i would totally think Lounge. But the lounge lizards...I don't know how that would go over there...obviously didn't get much consideration here either. Oh well...

because the worship of and desire to be like these idiots (and I am trying to be nice here) is what got this country into a lot of the economic mess it is in today. You don't want to see that? OK...but deny it at our continuing peril...

10. ahhh the denial...
you're right...no one wants to be like these people...extreme consumerism run amok had NOTHING do to with our current economic situation. glorification of these sorts of people and their big money empty lives didn't inspire the Joneses...you keep right on believing that...

6. For full disclosure
I don't watch any of those shows, but I have girlfriends who do. My impression is that people watch it for the shock value and to make fun of the people on the show, not because they worship the idiots. But perhaps that is just my friends, and other people truly would like to emulate them.

....too much work. Just be famous for being a celebrity. THAT is what is worshiped and admired.
