Black faces on TV! For however long it lasts, at least we are seeing many blacks speaking on TV. I
am always asking and wondering when TV and especially our "representative government" is going to start looking like US as a population.

1. Unfortunately, it took a jackass like Imus, and the uproar
that ensued to provide more airtime for African Americans to speak out.

Let's keep it going.
Maybe, just maybe,TV will start reflecting the real demographics
of our population.

these times.

While I respect Sharpton and Jackson, I would love to see younger people start taking the lead on this. I am hoping they recognize a huge opportunity when they see it.

I am so tired of old white rich men being the authorities on EVERYTHING.

3. I couldn't agree with you more.

And I remember the first civil rights movement well.
I was born in 1951 and remember when it all started.

4. According to David Gregory on MSNBC ..Imus PLEDGED to have a Black a Day on his show!
A "Black a Day."

Does anyone think this might last for a week or two and then BE GONE?

He must be DESPERATE to pledge something like that because I can't imagine his show would survive if he's doing a "Mea Culpa" with a black a day with Bernard and the rest of his idiot cut outs there...and still be believable or credible.
