On one hand I don't like Sarah Palin anyway. On the other
I like her a lot less because she shoots wolves from the sky.

I like wolves a lot better than I like governors generally and I like them a lot better than specific governors particularly.

2. Hey there.
Nice to run into you on the boards tonight.

"Simpleton" is an awfully good fit for Gov. Palin.

Real, real awfully good.

3. I dreamt that . . .
. . . while out snowmobiling Caribou Barbie and the First Dude were attacked by wolves.

(Even though I am perfectly aware that wolves attacking humans is a rural myth.)

Best night's sleep I've had in a long time.

5. Simpleton is simple...
But I think she is seriously quite mentally disturbed, sociopathic, bi-polar, and even dangerously anti-socially psychopathic. I thnk she would shoot more than wolves given the chance.

6. You know, I sense that too. I sense that she has no idea why some
people might find aerial murder of helpless animals objectionable.

It's another shiney thing she gets to pick up and keep and take home.

It could be that there are more fans of the animals and natural places than Palin imagines.

7. For sure...
But she just doesn't listen to those people. And hunting from planes is illegal in most civilized countries... hell that ain't even hunting! And why Alaska? It's not like there's a lot of cattle up there that are threatened...She's nuts... and dangerous!

10. It's not hunting.
It's euphemistically called "predator control." It's not for cattle but to increase the moose and caribou harvest for the hunters, both Native subsistence and "great white" variety. I'm not justifying it at all, just explaining the "reasoning" behind it.

Like man has to interfere with eons of nature...thing is, man has already devastated caribou and moose. Still a stupid 'sport" like clubbing baby seals...nuff of Palin... I wish she'd just.... go away....

8. Well, you won't have Sarah Palin to kick around anymore, OC.
People are already lobbying our new governor to halt this practice...hopefully, we'll succeed.

9. Blue_in_AK! Howdy, and that is mighty good news.

Palin's wolf shootings are a throwback to the days of the early western railroads in the contiguous 40s with back-eastern folks shooting at buffalo from their train cars.

There's a barbarism to it. A secessionist who hates the wilderness but wants to be the president. My god.

Keep us posted on that legislation. I'm completely for it.

11. What has to happen
Edited on Wed Jul-29-09 10:34 PM by Blue_In_AK
is that Governor Parnell needs to replace some of the members of the Board of Game which has been stacked heavily in favor of the hunters. If he won't do it, then we'll just need to elect a Democrat with some sense next year. I think the majority of people here -- including hunters -- do not like the aerial wolf program or the "killing bear cubs in their dens" program, which is another one of Sarah's things. Ironic, considering the way she's always talking about bein' a mama grizzly protectin' her cubs.

Have I told you how glad I am that she's gone?

12. Truth be told, Blue, you do give off the SLIGHTEST trace of
jubilance at the departure of your now-former Governor.

Just a trace, of course. And yet I detect it!

 :hi:

16. : ) Well good. I'm glad it's happened and I'm
glad progressives are breathing a little easier up there.

Now we have to figure out how to keep her out of New York!

17. You betcha they will also.
It would be frightening to think that Sarah Palin could advance through the GOP primaries to win their nomination.

I think the ambitious pack of wannbes might be disinclined to let Sarah up in the treehouse, though. The Iowa caucus is going to be damned interesting this next cycle.
