Do we have to put up with conservative "blue dog" Democrats?
Strip all of them of any committees they might be sitting on, replace them with true progressive Democrats. Isolate them as much as possible until they get the message, that they are DEMOCRATS and not rethugs. If they still don't get the hint, then donate heavily to their next progressive Democratic primary opponent.

1. Why not have a dictator ship where there are no dissenting voices!
You vote to correct these problems that is how our system works.

2. Why run on a Party ticket
when you are not going to support it in the most crucial of areas?

3. You do have a good point.
I wish conservatives would stay with the repugs and the liberals in their party would come over here. It would be a lot less confusing. maybe we need like a prisoner exchange or something!

6. Nobody said anything about not allowing dissenting voices
But if these "Blue Dogs" refuse to support the Democratic party, then they shouldn't be enjoying any benefits. And the Democratic party is well within its rights to support progressive candidates, even if it's at the expense of an incumbent.

4. Yes "we" do. We're at the mercy of those who have a right to vote just the same as "we" do.
Don't like it? Call for a constitutional convention.

Personally, I think it should be illegal for an elected official to accept donations from anyone outside of their constituency.

5. If they will not even refuse to not recess until a healthcare bill is passed
do you really believe that Democrats would ever do as you suggest? Certainly that might be something that an LBJ would do, but we have no LBJ-like leaders in Congress now.
