MSNBC providing the best 'coverage' of Imus 'Scandal'

It's pretty comical...like something out of "Network" or "The Killing of Sister George" (for those of you old enough to remember that film). Wall to wall reports of Imus, his antagonists, his old buddies, the objects of his derision...all Imus all the time...even on KO, it was the most-watched segment, I'd expect. It is just amazing how the MSM parlays ANYTHING into a major event.

When I was a kid, you could count on the fingers of one hand the number of times that Network TV broke in with "Special Reports" which were significant nationally for their timeliness: Kennedy Asssasinations, MLK, invasion of the Dominican Republic, Czechoslovakin Crisis, Cuban Missle Crisis, you get the drift.

Now it's the paternity issues involving a Class D 'celebrity' as "BREAKING NEWS". Or the ridiculous musings of a shock-jock and his dopey minions.

Genocide in Darfur, Cancer Cure documentaries or reports, the build-up of the infrastructure in Mainland China...there are an infinite number of interesting stories which actually have an impact upon Americans. Try to get Portland cement lately in bulk? Top dollar b/c it's all going over to China...raising our costs here. Not uninteresting stuff.

There's lots of knowledge that no one ever hears about...but that's just me.
