"Teddy in his own words" HBO special

Anyone who hasn't seen this special on the life of Edward "Teddy" Kennedy should really take the opportunity to watch this special. If you don't subscribe to HBO, perhaps you know a friend or family member who does.

Either way this is one of the best documentaries on the Kennedy family, both past and present that I have seen. It is told through the words of Teddy himself.

I really hope HBO makes this special available on DVD. It is definitely a must watch.

The HBO special about the live of Ted Kennedy called "Teddy: In his own words" will re air at 5:30PM for those on the West Coast, and for all those who may have missed it it will replay starting this Wednesday in all timezones starting at 3:00pm.

According to HBO's website it said 5:30pm on HBO WEST. I am assuming that would be 5:30 pacific time with it shoeing on HBO WEST but I do not not for sure.

2. I don't see it

I get HBO "On Demand" from TimeWarner. Essentially anything that is on HBO (this week or something) I can watch whenever I want (it's pretty cool).

Anyway, I don't see a Kennedy special in the offerings.

5. Not sure about ON DEMAND

I believe it premiered on Saturday, so it may take a few days for it to show up On DEMAND.

The above link does however mention that HBO special ON DEMAND show between July 13 and Aug 09.

7. I think it premiered a couple of weeks ago? I'll have to check. But you're right,

it was great. The special even went into the Chappaquiddick incident, and Joan's alcoholism. I hate to admit it, but there were moments when I cried. Many men, who have suffered the personal & professional tragedies that Teddy has, would have already been dead or in a padded room. His life is true testament to man's ability to adapt & overcome.

You are very right. I also teared up many times. It was one of the best HBO specials I have seen in a very long time. If this doesn't find it's way to DVD release it will be an utter shame.

12. It is a great story.

Not such a great film. (Weak editing (straight, step by step historical time line when there were other, more compelling ways to organize the story line), not so great sound, they didn't spend very much on the score)

My friend Chris Lawford, Teddy's nephew, has one little second of still shot screen time.
