Jordan Thomas loses his legs and starts a foundation.
He came from a rich family and realized that insurance would not replace the prosthetics for those less fortunate. Some had insurance that would not replace legs as the children got older, another got a leg with no knee.

God damn all these fuckers.

1. $22,000 for his legs. How is that possible?
I understand that there are research costs, and engineering and inventors to be paid, and materials, and that all of this is aggravated by the fact that there isn't a huge market for these things and that there is a high degree of personalization. I get that. I still don't see how two prosthetic legs can cost $22,000.
