I mentioned in a thread that I couldn't afford to donate because I've been pretty poor lately.

Not long after that, I had a PM saying somebody had donated in my name. I'm honestly a little choked up over the generosity. Thank you to whoever did it. It was unexpected and not really necessary, but I am very grateful.

Despite our frequent arguing over petty differences, DU is without a doubt the best community on the internet.

I've had people donate in my name a bunch of times, and now that I have some money I try to donate when I can for others. I'm not rolling in dough so I've only gotten a few so far, but I'll get more in time. One of these days I'm going to donate for someone who hates me, which should provide a lot of options. :)
