So much for the "innovation" excuse.

In a drive to inoculate people against swine flu before winter, many European governments say they will fast-track the testing of a new flu vaccine, arousing concern among some experts about safety issues and proper vaccine doses.

Oh but how can they test anything with all the lines and rationing?

They are going to be the first ones to come up with a pig flu vaccine. World leaders in medicine, those Europeans. Thankfully it will save our butts when the pandemic spreads to North America.

3. Didn't Europe also lead us in experimental AIDS drugs too?
And stem cell research?

The US seems to only exceed in weapons technology. The destruction of life not the preservation.

4. It's actually Australia who is leading the way with a vaccine
http://news.scotsman.com/latestnews/Woman-22-is-first-.5485825.jp

though, since this is their winter, their need is more urgent anyway. How much trial information from one vaccine is relevant to another is a bit of an open question too.

6. This flys in the face
of RW claims that the pharmaceutical industry must have high prices on American drugs so they can afford world leading R&D. I've heard this bullshit many times.
