Good. Now that I've posted the one thing 99.9% of us can agree on, maybe we can get around to seriously (and not savagely) discussing all the things we don't agree on all the time. Of course, this is a list almost too long to draw out given that nearly anything anyone posts these days causes someone else to flip the fuck out and run to their woodshed for their torches and pitchforks.
Let's try a few others out. "Corporate personhood is absurd. People are people. Corporations are artificial constructs that cannot have free speech rights or anything similar."
"Tax cuts aren't sound fiscal policy--they're an unauthorized loan from our children."
"Our trading partners can do whatever they want to their citizens, as long as they keep sending us cheap junk we don't need at a price we can't afford."
"Can we outsource the CEOs jobs to Japan? At least the Japanese seem to understand that loyalty should run both ways. American bigwigs want loyalty but couldn't imagine actually repaying it in kind."
"Question authority. If we don't do it, who will?"
"No one talks faster than a Democrat trying to apologize for telling the truth."
"The insurance company is a bloated parasite feeding off the American people, gorging itself on misery and giving nothing in return. Single Payer is the only known cure."
"DU would be the best place on the web if it weren't for all the stubborn opinionated assholes like me acting like they own the place." ;)
