Just thought I would relay a story I thought you all could appreciate.

I was in D.C. last night at about 10:00 looking for a parking place near downtown.
A guy stepped out into the road and seemed pretty drunk, jumped right out in front of my car,twice. So, I became concerned about the neighborhood where I would be parking my car. I slowed down and studied the locals for a moment. Much to my surprise there was a group of young guys ,maybe 7, walking down the street. And some of these guys were kissing each other. I thought,"this area just can't be that bad, can it?". I would "guess" that if the area was that rough that these guys would have trouble. It seems like a reasonable guess to me. Maybe a bad guess, I don't know.
Well after I got parked I saw these 2 guys running down the middle of the street. Not very athletic,dressed in street clothes, and the one guy was very big, so they drew a lot of attention. They got to a dodge car that was trying to get out of a parking space. There was lots of yelling and the big guy had his head and arms inside the driver side of the dodge. It was a weird scene.
Eventually the dodge went on it's way and the 2 guys went back to hanging out with some friends in front of a store or something. And I went on my way.
As I was walking I passed some guys and I heard one of them chuckling and saying "I'll bet he keeps his mouth shut about the queers next time."
HA! I had to suppress a laugh. I had already seen they meant business and I had no desire to piss them off even by accident.
I love it when jerks get what they deserve. Score one for the good guys.

Gay bashers try to make us ALL afraid. They try to intimidate ALL gay people when they randomly select a target to physically or verbally abuse. It is not "stooping to their level" to respond with physical force. It is a statement that their efforts have FAILED, that we will NOT be intimidated or victimized. And it is a warning to anyone who would prey on gay people.

When gay people start going around insulting and beating straight people just because they're straight, you can decide what's an appropriate reaction. Until then, WE'LL decide. Thank you.

the entire story. Did the homophones merely spew verbal abuse or did they get physical? Did the supposed gay men get physical or verbal?

I will tell you a story about walking home one night about fifteen years ago with my partner (we are still a couple). It was after midnight and our route took us by a rough red neck bar. Some loud red necks were standing in front of the bar and we merely walked by when all of the sudden one of the men physically attacked my partner. At that point my partner gave him one punch to the jaw that broke his jaw then proceeded to kick the shit out of him, yelling "you want to fuck with a sissy come on." The other men split in a hurry. BTW, my partner was in a dress, heels and make up coming from a halloween party. Moral of the story is do not mess with a 6"3" 220 pound ex football player in a dress.

10. I can relate a similar story

It happened on a Sat, nite on 18th and Castro. The phobes mad a big mistake to come into the ghetto on sat night to pick on fairies. My young boyfriend proceeded to kick the shit out of one, while the crowd cheered and kept the others at bay, How humiliating when Jimmie asked the scumbag how it felt to have his ass kicked by a fag. Moral: come into a ghetto looking for trouble, you might find more than you bargained for.( they weren't attacking us , by the way, they were bothering a "slighter" couple)

It was sad for all involved. We shouldn't live in a world where this is where things have to go. Maybe. if there were a bit more decency and respect for others, we wouldn't have to see or hear about these scenarios. I think there needs to be a learning lessen from this.

32. This reminds me of a story...

back in the day, like mid 90s, we all would congregate in the park to hang out. We were all under age and that was the only Gay socializing we had; so we spent a lot of time there and we would often get blown some shit..

Well, one evening myself and a few others were chatting it up in the park. This truck of dirty and his scank were driving around yelling shit at us and one of my friends just had enough. So as the truck comes around for another pass, my friends takes the ball bat he had out of his car and smashes the fuck out of their front window, which he did as the drove by. It was priceless!

Sometimes, enough is enough and action is required.
