Obama made an ill-considered statement. He's human. This happens. But if he'd ever represented a client in court, in a criminal or civil action, he'd have known better than to use the word that he did.

The uproar here is hilarious, but predictable.

What's really interesting is how the GOPigs aren't working overtime to make a big deal out of this whole thing. Lee Atwater would have been all over it, but, Lee is still dead, so maybe they've just lost their heart...........................

This Gates incident is a fucking mess. Lots of stupid to be shared amongst all parties. Including the President.

This isn't some once in a lifetime isolated incident. Police and their apologists throw up this "You're either with us or against us" shield whenever anyone dares to criticize police behavior, no matter how outrageous. We have to get past this ridiculous notion that any scrutiny of a policeman means you are a crime loving, cop hating agitator. It's only a "mess" because people buy into this notion. How about we all talk about the problem constructively and try to get to a better place? Doesn't sound like crap to me.
