Anybody know why Baucus is running the show?
Did Obama have anything to do with putting him in charge or is he just the default choice by seniority?

1. He was ranking member of finance when the Repos were in charge. Now he's chair.

2. Is the finance committee the only appropriate committee to take this up?
Or could it have been done by some other committee with a true Democrat as the head?

3. Two committes in the Senate are involved. The HELP committe chaired by Ted Kennedy already
put their bill into the hopper. Now finance has to finish up with theirs and vote on it, then it will be in the hopper as well.
