Called "Porno Girl" and videotaped in the john, teen intern sues DOT.

Looks like there was something kinky going on at the Department of Transportation in New Mexico. Ronald Meyers installed peek-a-boo videotaping equipment in the women's bathroom, then stockpiled videos of five females (two of them juveniles) in a cabinet in his office. He now has a new home behind bars, but the case isn't over yet.

One of the victims, who was a 16-year-old intern at the time of the offense, is suing the government agency. In her lawsuit, she says supervisors allowed Meyers to work early and late, permitting him to install the camera -- while also ignoring his history of inappropriate behavior.

2. Can anyone explain this to me?
Seems like these people are EVERYWHERE. A few months ago I googled "handicapped bathroom accessories" (I'm in a wheelchair and we are remodeling) and google came up PAGES UPON PAGES of "toiletcam", "bathroomcams" "voyuercam" etc. -- Which I did not click on but the teaser on google seemed to indicate they are all adult sites.

I don't understand the fascination with secretly viewing unknowing women. My husband doesn't get it either. Does anyone know what the deal is? And is this really as prevailant as it seems? -- Is is safe in the fitting rooms anymore?

5. Weirdo - but not a serious criminal

This guy has a problem, but I'm not sure if a federal case should be made out of it.
The filming part is all wrong, and the dope is in jail for it... but lawsuits and a federal case and all that crap is just over the top.

America is obsessed with outdated puritanical notions of decency.

The first time I went to Austria and went to the sauna in my hotel, I realized that there were no separate mens and ladies changing rooms nor showers. That's right, everyone got undressed and showered in open showers together. This is normal and no big deal.

All types of people went to the sauna, took off all their clothes, showered out in the open completely naked and went into the sauna. Afterwards, they all walked around naked and chatted. While I was taking a shower, an older German woman came up to me to chat - both of us completely naked... I was washing my hair. Her husband was brushing his teeth... perfectly normal. No cause to freak out and send for the Gestapo!

The problem is when the puritans and holy rollers make a cardinal sin out of skin!

Who cares if someone sees a boob or two? Who cares? It's only skin for crying out loud!
It seems that the more some things are hidden away and declared forbidden fruit, the more some folks want to see them.

6. It's about consent
If you secretly film someone in an intimate moment without their consent it is wrong and is often a crime.

To say that to object is to be uptight misses the point entirely and is offensive to anyone who has been victimized this way. To do it to a minor even more reprehensible. Did you even read the OP where it stated the guy was behind bars?

7. My family have been nudists for years and yes we all shower together.
Women even shave everywhere they want to in the showers but we do have separate bath rooms. There is such a thing as having privacy when you want it.

13. How would you have felt if it was your 16-yr-old child?
Would you have told your daughter "it's no big deal, it's just your boobs?" Or your son "it's not big deal, it's just your pecker?"

Your comments are ignorant and insensitive.

10. The guy should be in jail, but I don't think the agency has much to worry about
Unless there is some gross negligence that I am missing.

11. I agree... they will have to prove that the agency was negligent
And whether they actually allowed him to be in the building and the reason he gave for being in the building during those hours.
