5. I still don't understand what the hoopla is about?
Did bringing attention to her cultural background cause the problem? Was she suppose to be so ethnically color-blind that she wasn't suppose to talk about her ethnic background? Was she suppose to slip under the radar pretending she was white.

Frankly, if you're going to pick a latina for the Supreme Court, I would hope she would be wise and not arrepentida. (i.e. ashamed of her background)
