8. I just posted a thread on this. I was ALMOST falling for the mea culpa. I do think the

criticism has penetrated a new level of conciousness this time - but the I-man and his CRONIES still refuse to completely get it. All the rationalizing and sickle cell help in the world does not make up for Imus and his gang's YEARS of racist, sexist bullshit. And the Russerts and Liebermans, and Finemans just keep yucking it up. It's all in FUN, doncha know?

I only this morning read what Imus said :

"That's some rough girls from Rutgers," Imus said.
"Man, they got tattoos ... ." 

"Some hardcore hos," McGuirk said. 

"That's some nappy-headed hos there, I'm going to tell
you that," Imus said. 

As a white male raised in the South,  I've never been overly
sensitive about name calling.  But to take to the public
airwaves and call college age girls-women "hos" is
beyond the pale. 
It's time to start forcing people who profit from public
airways to use some modicum of courtesy.
