2. The Family Is Taking MommaT To Chicago And Wisconsin On Tuesday !!!
She's turning the Big 80!!!

After her sister (my Aunt Barbara) died last August, we decided that we were not going to let every family reunion be for a funeral.

So... a couple of days in Chicago visiting my mom's old haunts, then a week on a lake in Wisconsin pursuing the elusive Muskie. And maybe a few Martinis, LOL!!!

Family from all over the country will be there!!!

My first real vacation in about 5 years. I can't wait!

:bounce::woohoo::bounce:

:hi:

5. My dear babylonsister!
We already had ours!

We toured Central Europe via river cruise...The Rhine, the Main, the Danube and the Main-Danube (I think) Canal...

It was fabulous and we had a ball!

:hi:

Except for my nephew's wedding in Minneapolis in August, that's it for us...we're home now...

I hope you get to do something fun this summer!

12. That sounds like so much fun, Peggy!
I want to go to Europe again and visit countries I've never seen, but have to convince Mr. PITA.

We are going to Cape Cod soon. That's where we met, so that could be fun. It will be cooler than here!

Now we're trying to weather a long, hot, dry summer. x(

6. And this gets non-recced because.....?
Proof of roving bands of un-rec'ers looking for people they have sparred with in the past.

Just what is so offensive about this post?

This new system just sucks.

10. I wish I knew who the URers were.
I've seen it in a few threads now (where it's been obvious), and I just have a funny feeling he/she/they would show up on a list if I were to make one of suspected offenders.

Sorry it's happened to you.

Haven't been on a vacation in over 3 years.

14. Went to Savannah for the fourth of July weekend..
Hung out on the "beach" on the Intracoastal Waterway at Skidaway Island. The little kids caught baby crabs, swam and built sand castles, the big kids (son in law and his buddy) caught big crabs and swam, G-Pa (me) relaxed under the beach umbrella and took lots of pictures with the dSLR and long zoom lens..

This pic is on the road to the beach, live oaks with lots of spanish moss.

Then we went to the riverfront in Savannah for fireworks, awesome display. The pic below was taken on the way back to the car, it is us (G-Pa was taking the pic) in the gate to the cemetery featured in the movie Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil and the full moon is above the eagle on top, all by ambient light.
