15 student killed in Kabul, Afganistan
today's news in Afganistan.

At least 15 students are among 25 people killed by a roadside bomb in Logar province to the south of Kabul, the Afghan capital, officials said.

How many children die in Afganistan per day?

Attacks have increased across Afghanistan since US marines launched a major offensive last week against Taliban fighters in the southern Helmand province.

The Taliban has vowed to resist the offensive and hit back.

The Nato-led International Assistance and Security Force (Isaf) said on Thursday that two of its soldiers had been killed by a roadside bomb in the south of the country the previous day.

1. Well, since 1/3 of Afghani children die before their
Fifth birthday, the death rate is horrendous. That is a result of how the US wages war, and the bombings will intensify before the troops leave. Every day brings more damage to homes and civilian infrastructure.

Moreover, the amount of depleted uranium in the soil and water in Afghanistan and Iraq means that there will be a continuing death toll, and a degradation of the environment for eons. It's an insane way to wage war, and the US has no way to clean up the mess. Just like vietnam and Cambodia, the damage will continue.

3. The only concern of the pro-lifers is that their tax money not be
spent on abortions for poor women, no problem spending that tax money to kill nameless muslim peasants in far away places however.
