How DARE DHS leak the GAO's failed test of security at federal bldgs?

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=8025140&page=1 Is it just a coincidence that the Homeland Security Appropriations bill is up for consideration in the Senate today?

{Added on edit: The leak involved how someone hired by the GAO brought explosives and components for a bomb into the Capitol and into federal bldgs in various states, assembled them in men's rooms, and walked around for a while w/ the assembled bombs w/o getting caught. It is basically a blueprint on how to kill a whole lot of elected officials at once.}

The first thing both houses of Congress should do is call hearings to investigate the source of the leak. Normally the GAO's test would have been reported in secret to the DHS. Leaking it puts ideas in the head of every unhinged person in the country who is looking for a way to make a violent impact. No more simply shooting up people at church.

Also an investigation should be made to find out if the idea to take this public came from Chertoff. If so, his head should be on the block as well. Even if it came from an underling, it shows at least a DHS out of his control. Putting the lives of our elected federal and state representatives at risk is so unconscionable that whoever perpetrated it has to go.

2. Real security is a myth anyway. It makes the paranoid feel safer, nothing more.

The DHS is a bu$h invention. It needs to be broken back up into its component parts. As it is now there is no one to answer for all the incompetence going on in and with it.

3. True, but not my point.
This particular breach shows such an intentional disregard for human life by giving violently inclined nutjobs a working plan, that the perpetrator needs to be brought up short. Especially if the motivation was to get more money out of Congress.
