Query re: newspaper comment sections

Are these people- in their hearts of hearts- really as foul and disgusting as they appear to be when they write anonymously?

1. Yes.

2. Anonymity permits people the privilege of saying many things they

might not have said in what used to be called "polite company." That is a lost concept, and so is the gentle art of conversation. Our society suffers their loss.

4. But is that how they really think?

I mean, it's one thing to get angry and have a vent- it's quite another to feel some of the things inside that one sees in these comments. Kinda pathological?

3. Yes they are the foulest of the foul. Luckily the foulest of the foul on our

local paper comment section is Republicans. The Dems seem to have the moral high ground and all the Reps can do is hurl personal attacks.
