So help me God, if Pawlenty doesn't sign and Reid doesn't seat Franken because of that...
....I am going to...I don't know, but I'll be angrier at the spinless Dem than ever before...I can just see Reid backing down if there isn't a certificate and the MSC did NOT order Pawlenty to sign...it said Franken was "entitled" to the certificate.
5. I think Pawlenty will sign. (No one has mentioned a stay for filing an appeal
to federal court, and besides, the Constitution delegates the authority to judge the elections to the Senate to the Senate itself, not to the Article III courts. That's how I understand the Constitution.
6. You're right...and in the past in disputed elections such as this, the
presumed winner was seated with the caveat that if there is a change, that person would be removed...Al coulda been in the Senate for a few months now if Reid had stood up to the bullies...as usual he backed down.
7. At MN Public Radio I heard they believe Pawlenty will sign
because he does not want to place himself in the middle of a legal battle. I believe he will sign and also that Coleman will throw in the towel if he is interested in running for governor of MN.
