Madoff stole from charities and destroyed the lives of thousands. Joe, unfortunately, destroyed one family - but he sure inspired them to put out some great music - so he's not worse than Madoff.

US economy and subsequently the global economy (the world really has a lot to thank the US for... well, not right now because a few rich oinks have now put even their futures into question too... but otherwise...)
