Watch Chris Matthews at his 7:00 p.m.(est) Repeat Show! He's Got the Cheney Lies
Edited on Fri Apr-06-07 04:14 PM by KoKo01
Feith's Lies...American Enterprise Institute! Pentagon Report!

It's on now.... And the beginning of the show is Worth the Watch! But, catch the repeat! He was grilling Gen. McCaffrey about surge or escalation and an Iraq Vet was on trashing the "surge" and pointing out the disaster of sending 12,000 National Guard in there.

Robert Bauer is up next!

Matthews asks: "Why did we Invade Iraq." Also said we should go over to AEI and recruit some National Guard.

1. Damn! I'll probably miss it.
Do they usually put an entire show online or just specific clips?

3. Thanks for the heads-up KoKo01
I generally try to avoid Matthews, but seems he has seen the writing on the ratings-wall and has been a bit less of a RNC lapdog of late. Following KO's strong lead it more these days, it seems.

4. Were's al this fortitude coming from? Tweety, Joe Klein...
Alluva sudden it's apparently professionally safe to dis the chimp. Remember that they could have done either these or similar stories at any time in the past 5 years.

7. Robert Baer just said that they concoted the info and fed it to the Press
and Tweety kind of talked over that (Press should Catch the Hell along with Cheney/Feith, et al over selling this war) and Matthews knows he's gotta keep his job and that he was part of it so he talked over Baer.

But, Matthews at least seems sincerely pissed over it all...even though he was fixated on the Chimperor's crotch from 9/11 until the Iraq Occupation long in the tooth and the American people started to turn. He does have "a teeny" problem with Scooter though...he mentioned him being part of it all with Feith. But then Scooter's Trial cost GE BIG MONEY defending Timmeh, Matthews, and Alan Greenspan's wife against Fitz.

8. At approx. :35 minute mark Tweety asks, "Is it a mental problem...
...does he (Mitt Romney) actually think he's been a hunter all his life?"

Cracked me up.

9. BTW...his show gets more interesting with Mitt Romney admitting he's not "Big Game Hunter"
he only shoots "Rodents!" And, Matthews says: "I've played golf maybe 20 times, but that doesn't make me a golfer" so how does this guy get away with applying for Gun License when he decided to run for President and he hunts "rodents and rabbits."

12. Show starts strong then slides into mushy religious pandering by
Tweety on the importance of the born agains voting. The guy he had on (sorry - I deliberately deleted his name from memory the minute Tweety said it) actually said he would never tell his members how to vote. Yeah, right, and I've got the Brooklyn Bridge for sale. I was yelling at the TV (I know, I know) that any candidate that got any endorsement by a religious group would automatically NOT get my vote. The guest tried to pretend he is reasonable and sane but we have been down this road before. They use their "grown-up voice" during the run up to the elections then revert back to crazy ass reichwing "War on Christmas" dolts as soon as the votes are counted.

The pounding of Cheeeeney and Firth was a nice surprise by Tweety's guests. I don't expect it to last. Hell, Tweety might re-think his performance at the 5 pm hour and have to go live at 7 pm just to clean up his "mess" and get back on the cocktail party circuit at the White House.

Tweety did swing back a little with the author who complimented Elizabeth Edwards - which surprised me, in the past this person has been very hateful toward Dems - and said it was no one's business how Elizabeth and John decided to live their lives. Elizabeth could be a good role model for people not to give up. She discussed the exact same treatment that my mother has been undergoing for the last year for breast and bone cancer.

On the whole the show was a B - up from his usual F-. Tweety did make an ass of himself over the whole Philly Cheese steak to do. Like who cares? Really, Tweets, focus. Focus.

19. Good Points...I stayed with the whole thing and noticed what you did but give it a B, also.

It was far better than that fill in on CNN (the War Channel)'s Suzanne Malveau who seems to be a harriden.

And, I'm not a Tweety fan having dealtwith his fascination with Chimp's "Cod Pieces, Belt Buckles and the rest of his fascination with male anatomy and female vulnerability...but it was a very interesting show from beginning to end for me. He has a good show about every 5 weeks. Maybe it is his med adjustments that cause his irrationality...or maybe it's the phone calls from Russert and Jack Welch. :D After all doesn't Tweety owe that house on Nantucket near Jack to Jack?

10. I don't know what the MSNBC (Jack Welch Editors) will do to the Re-Broadcast of his show
but the whole thing is worth the watch...even to the end where Chris worries about "the waist down" treatment of our Maimed Troops.

It was a good show for Chris...(and, I am NOT a FAN of his...because of his adoration of Chimperor and Big Cod Pieces) but for DU'ers who are intrigued by personal travails...and have wrestled with their own DEMONS watching Matthews was incredibly interesting.

MSNBC does edit his "Repeat" but, I'm hoping the "Elves" are all off for Passover or Easter and that his FIRST SHOW will STAND ...UNEDITED...because it's a KEEPER...for a tormented person who might be trying to do the "correct thing" even though he deals with demons...i.. Chris's "On Again" .."Off Again" performances through the years.

15. yesterday he was just in AWE of the bushies
and how they appointed fox for ambassador to Belgium. I think I finally figured out what the deal is with matthews and his love affair with the bushies. He is simply astounded and awed on the audacity of this admin and what they are getting away with. It gives him a hard on.

18. yeah....sounds like it was the same show. I think they change things
when something new crops up after the first one.

they're too cheap to edit for negative pug content, is my guess. they know only a handful of people watch
