One thing to keep in mind should Hillary Clinton win the Presidency.
And first, let me say that I AM IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM ADVOCATING FOR OR AGAINST HER CANDIDACY.

However, SHOULD she win, it may be worth it simply to see the sheer magnitude by which the average freeper's head explodes. The thought of seeing Sean Hannity the morning after she is elected is enough to warm my heart.

Just saying.

1. I'd recommend raingear for the day after . . .
Edited on Fri Apr-06-07 12:44 PM by MrModerate
To avoid being soaked with sprays of blood, flesh, and bone (lucklily not much brain matter to worry about).

However, I think you'd get just about as spectacular an effect with an Obama win.

Or (dare I say it) a Gore win.

4. I think Obama would be more accepted.

Another Clinton/Bush dynasty in office will just perpetuate the divisions in the country. Someone like Obama with less baggage I think has a better chance of 'uniting, not dividing'.

11. On one level, I agree . . .
Obama is less divisive precisely because he hasn't been in the national eye as long. But the same class of people who go apoplectic over Hillary quite likely go apoplectic over a black man in the white house.

2. Disagree politely and respectfully.
Hillary winning guarantees that Rush and Sean will have an indefinite amount of material for their shows not to mention raises and bonuses.

The no-opposable-thumb crowd on FreeRepublic and their ilk will detonate like nuked aliens from Men in Black (stand back, everyone!). Rushannity -- supreme hypocrites -- will rend their clothes and gnash their teeth while contemplating the views from their imagined new pied-a-terres in San Moritz.

But *both* reactions will be fun to watch.

I completely agree that the talking heads themselves would be shedding crocodile tears (and thinking about the money to be made in reaction to their faux outrage -- like they did in the 1990s), but people should keep in mind who listens to and watches them. Right wingers want to be told what to think and feel, they are authoritarian to the core -- hence, the term "dittohead."

They will be told that a HRC presidency would be the end of the world, and they will believe it.

And yes, a Gore or Obama win would elicit similar reactions, but there's something additional and personal to their hatred of all things Clinton.

3. Maybe there will be mass suicides
especially after the right wing noise machine chucks out charges that the election was stolen. Wouldn't that be sweet?

It would also be fun to see racist Limpball's reaction if Obama wins.

6. That is somwhat worth it for a few months. But then what, as they regroup and
to pull off another 1994 election?

It's not like the corpmedia will be on the sidelines. They use the Clintons and the RW Clinton-haters as theater to distract the country while the real powermongers continue to loot the country.

9. Right wing radio will explode with success like in the 90s...
Granted, if any Democrat gets in the Oval, chances are that Right Wing Radio will flourish with the usual lies and distractions.

After all, the bungling that Bush has laid out will now be in our hands...and the thought of the so-called Patriot Act and its careless lack of constitutionality will scare the pants off Freepers too busy enjoying their faux deity ignorance of BushCo.

Imagine a black guy or a woman with the power to arrest someone without a warrant, without legal representation, without a known charge for the crime and without knowing where they are or anyone else having an idea of where they might be.

10. My spiteful self would love to see that too.
I want payback! And I want it to be ugly and severe.

And frankly, I would just laugh at them. Hysterically.

15. Their arteries float with bile
I would rather see them coagulate and freeze over with a lack of false icons. Exploding is all they do, apparently immune to high blood pressure despite what must be incredibly poor diets.

16. I'm not a freeper by any stretch of the imagination. But my head will explode, too.
We need a REAL president in office for a change. Someone like Clark or Gore is what we really NEED.

17. Clark, Gore, or Clinton is okay with me...
but not Obama. I want a President who knows what she or he is doing from day one. The last thing we need is another President with a learning curve. Obama can be Vice-president but not President. I do not want our next President to rely so much on the people around him. I know he or she can not know everything but damn it, there is no substitute for experience!
