of several stories. Why don't people search, first? And where are the moderators who, normally, would merge stories that are very loosely related?

1. It can be hard to search. Sometimes headlines seem to have nothing to do with each other, but

are essentially the same news story. As far as moderators, there are more responding at some times of the day then at others. Also, they don't get paid.

But I understand where you are coming from. It is nice when things run smoothly here as they do most of the time.

3. Searching LBN is not much

since not that many stories are posted.

There are still 3 of them, right next to each other:

2. Yes, good citizens do check for dupes, but it's too much of a bother.

News is not news on DU unless it gets posted 5 times the day it happens and then for the next 2 or 3 days.
