"What took you so long" (This is what I hate about politics)

So the right wing noise machine pouted and kicked and screamed that they wanted Obama to make a "stronger" statement on the Iranian crackdown (what ever that means). OK fine, he did so at today's press conference. You wanted a more harsh condemnation, and so he gave it to you. Now, will you please say thank you?

No, instead we get snotty little Major Garret saying "What took you so long?" Ingrates!

This is actually what I hate about politics. Let's say you have two sides of an issue. Side A whines and complains and demands that side B adopt a particular position on an issue with constant nagging and complaining. Side B finally accedes to Side A's demands and does what Side A wants. Side A's response? "Well, hrmph! It's about time!" I can't stand it when I see that in politics.

1. Actually Obama pointed out that he's been consistent

in his statements condemning violence from the beginning. He didn't "accede" to their demands.

2. i can't watch it. i won't. I watched obama's press conference... and then

i walked away and came back and i see pat buchanan on and i just can't do it. I can't listen to the bs. I am trying to get housework done anyway and it's the first day of summer for the 10 year old.... so already it's been a fun day. and my back is killing me from trying to clean. so i sit down and hear the noise machine go go go. oh no. so i turned it.

3. They're trying to get him to fuck up.

They're suggesting he do the opposite of what he should so that they can gain political capital -- like John McCain suggesting that we board that North Korean ship. They would love a good disaster right now.
