I wonder if Mark Sanford

has heard banjo music while hiking.

What he has done is typical and irresponsible. If there is some problem that needs to be handled, the lt. governor can step in for some things. However, there is a huge gray area about what he can do. Sanford is derelict by not transferring power if he was going to be unreachable. He's probably not hiking, but flouncing down the trail pouting because his vetoes were overridden.

Except for a cult of sycophants, nobody likes him. That goes for the Republicans in the legislature and the Democrats. Our state has double digit unemployment, and what does he do with his time? He fights to control the employment commission because he says the problem is not that bad. It's skewed numbers put out by the commission.

He has had a goal of tearing down the public school system. He wants to replace it with some version of charter schools. Sanford is succeeding in this to a point.

I could go on. I hope he meets a bear.

The Rethugs were warned about him before they nominated him, but they just wouldn't listen. His real colors didn't come through to a lot of people until the stimulus mess. He puts ideology over everything.

He is one odd duck to say the least.
