Where Can I Find How Much Money My Congressman Has Taken From Big Insurance & Pharma?.......
He's going to be in town next week and holding a 'town hall meeting on health care'. He's a Dem. I want to be armed with information so as to put him on the spot and I am looking for a website that could perhaps provide me with the $'s that he has gotten from Big Insurance, Big Pharma and Big MedTech - so as to drop that info on him when he starts to double talk that the people don't want government involved in health care. I'm currently hearing these rumblings out of his office. He won't take a stand. Supposedly he is waiting for bills to come out of committee before he commits. I've told his aides that 'healthcare reform' isn't something new. That this has been talked about for decades and if he can't take a stand for either a 'single payer' plan or a 'public option' - then he has no business being a Congressman.

Seems to me his wait and see attitude is to determine how much money he will get from the Big's - and to hell with the people.

So I want to put him on the spot at his 'town hall'. I want to expose him to the other attendees.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also - to all of you. Check with your own Reps & Senators websites. They are going on the Independence Day recess and will be in their respective districts and states. Many are holding their own 'town halls'. Make sure you attend and take them to task as well. Doesn't matter if they are Dem or Repug. Let them know that the majority of the people favor some sort of 'public option'. Don't let them tell us otherwise.

7. Hard to find out how much of the $$ goes directly to the candidate. Those are the
brown envelopes passed under the table at the $500 dinners in DC, so we will never know.
