Wolfowitz's Girlfriend Hired by State Dept -earning more than Rice
WAGE RAGE: World Bank employees are in an uproar over reports that director Wolfowitz’s girlfriend, Shaha Ali Riza, a bank employee who has been posted temporarily to the State Department because of their relationship, received a hefty raise and now makes $193,590 — more than Secretary of State Rice. A letter from the World Bank’s Staff Association expresses “concern, dismay and outrage.”

1. That slovenly halfwit has attracted a woman?
I find that vastly more shocking that the fact that he's gotten her a job for which she is supremely unqualified and for which she's earning a sultan's paycheck.

7. It's still a topic engendering more outrage, but no action, no accountibility.
Why???

8. "because of their relationship"
I assume they mean her relationship with Wolfie. But what I'm wondering is why in the heck does Wolfowitz have any relationship left with this administration? The man was completely wrong about Iraq and is one of the psychopathic architects of the current Iraq fiasco. Why would Wolfowitz still have any pull with the government? What is it with these people coming and going in-and-out of taxpayer-supported jobs and still having influence while out of government, enough to get jobs for their families and lovers?
