The CIA's contradictory conduct
For years CIA officials have told us the torture program was a last resort, limited, legal, effective effort to attain urgently needed intelligence.

If they truly believed all of this then they would seemingly want to declassify as much as possible. Instead they destroyed interrogation tapes and pointed to national security/sources and methods (even when it wasn't applicable) to justify classification.

One would almost think the CIA isn't proud of their torture program after all.

1. In private, they'd probably say they've gotten a raw deal

because to them, they've saved the taxpayers tons of money that were it not for torture, they would have had to expend on

various bribe schemes in order to gain valuable (sic) information.

2. Except in private, they know they got no such valuable information
by using torture.

4. Yet they keep bragging about
how effective their program was. And the propaganda was designed to convince citizens that objecting to torture was unpatriotic.

I wish somebody at the CIA would explain (without resorting to fearmongering and lies) exactly how the use of torture was patriotic.

3. There was also the option of conducting legal interrogation

methods. For example, FBI agent Ali Soufan testified that legal interrogation methods worked.

6. The CIA is a Huge Organization
There is as much diversity of opinion as in any large organziation. Sensitive information is not generally shared except on a need-to-know basis. So not only is there bound to be a large specturm of opinions, most employees, including management, have no more inside information than you or I do.
