Wow! He totally reminded me of all the reasons we NEED him to be president. He so clearly laid out why we are where we are today. How we have no foreign policy strategy and we've lost our way and our American principles, the ones that made us great and helped us succeed in the past. He got a big standing O at the end and many, many interruptions for spontaneous applause. I even got to shake his hand afterward. He told us he wants to run, he has every intention, he's putting his ducks in a row (my words not his).

He said one thing that got me smiling, in a way. He said President * is AFRAID to talk to Syria and countries that don't agree with the US. How about that for calling a spade a spade. * is AFRAID. Big applause for that, and lots of nods in the audience.

1. I saw him yesterday at the flint center
He received a standing ovation at the end in our group also

One thing he said made me extremely upset with the media and Congress. 9 days after 9/11, an associate at the Pentagon called him in and told him they were going to attack Iraq. Wes asked him if it was because Saddam was involved in 9/11, he said no, it had nothing to do with 9/11.

This war is bush's war, there were enough voices out their who knew Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

Such a waste

I hope you are right and he does run, but he sure didn't say one way or another to us on Wednesday

3. He said it afterward when people came up to shake his hand
BTW, I heard someone say to Clark, "I'm a Republican, and you are the best Democrat I've ever seen!"

7. Great buttons for a great initiative
I ordered buttons from Ice and had them available along with the petition sign up form at our last Dem Committee meeting. By the end of the meeting, several people there were sporting the buttons. It's a great way to raise awareness of what Clark and VoteVets.org are doing to get this problem in front of the public and in front of our current lawmakers. If you haven't checked it out, go to www.stopIranWar.com and sign.

We need Wes Clark more than ever. I look forward to his entry into the race when he feels the time is right.:patriot:

17. Thank You so much...
I can't wait ....we need his voice out there! Saying it like it is. I think he will totally wake America sleepwalkers up. When the American people realize what he has been doing and is still doing for our Country and the World, they will see how we have been taken for a ride by Bush and Co. There are many still sleeping!!!!

18. What did he say about Iran?
I believe that if we manage to dodge the bullet -- keep idiot-son from attacking Iran during April/during the summer -- Wes Clark will deserved a HUGE amount of the credit.

19. He is speaking for 3 days...at 8:00 pm...
I expect we will get reports from those in attendance shortly. Many are attending all three days. I can't wait for the reports. He sure isn't afraid to speak out to power. He is truly fed up with she shenanigans of our Gov't....thats for sure.

21. I don't know exactly what he said in CA about Iran....
but here's one of the thing she said in a press conference with campus media befor ehis speech at CMU April 2nd....

Q: Why does a retired General advocate diplomacy in Iran rather than a military solution?

Gen. Clark: Well, because, I think if you’ve been in the military and you understand what military force can do then you understand that you shouldn’t use military force except as a last, last, last resort. There are particulars in any military situation, and you could just imagine what they are there but, in general, military solutions tend to be…they normally kill innocent people, they have inadvertent consequences, they seldom work out the way they’re expected to and if you can do it and keep people talkin’ and keep the diplomats busy, um, that’s far better.

I agree with you that if we do manage to dodge this bullet it will be at least in part because of Wes Clark's efforts....He knows how bad this could truly be if we don't avert it.
