Welcome To Jonah Goldberg's Bizarro World
http://thepoorman.net/2009/06/16/your-brain-on-dumb/

By refusing to thrust himself into the spotlight which would hurt the cause of the Iranians protesting the election, Obama is making it all about himself. Plus, he’s hurting the cause of the Iranian protesters.

from the same column:

Labor unions are essential for the growth of democracy and therefore Obama and the Democrats should support their efforts everywhere. Except in the United States.

1. I wish I could say that I am not a violent person- but Jonah Goldberg should be mercilessly slapped.
He is simply annoying. He should be tied to a chair and backhanded until he is afraid to open his mouth.

5. While I am opposed to torture
that plus breaking his fingers so he wouldn't be able to use a keyboard for some weeks would also be indicated.

Maybe with time in the hospital, separated from that shrew of a mother and exposed to enough normal people, he might be educated in reality.

Maybe not, but it's worth a shot.

Of course, reality doesn't pay nearly as well as serving the plutocracy.

4. He finds what he wants to accuse President Obama of.
Then he says a string of words that make no sense, and as said in the OP words that are backwards.

Only an unthinking population would fall for that, the Right wing base, they don't want to here the truth.

Here is a secret about the mind set of alot of those people, many liberals don't understand this. But from top to bottom, even the common Republican voters, most of them know their own arguments are lies.

They believe winning an argument is not truth, its being able to make a point. In there mind they know they are lying, they know they are being disingenuous. But that is there only option.

They can't tell the truth.

Because the truth is they don't care about anyone but themselves. And most of their arguments if made truthfully reach that conclusion.

Many, you can't discuss with, because you know they are lying, and they know they are lying, but they still think it is a conversation.

There are also some that think they know better, so they have to lie, because people would not accept their view, because people are <insert label>. So they rationalize lie, because they think they know whats best for everyone.

6. that is typical Jonah
I sometimes wondered if he ever proofread his articles. I can think of very few times, one, when I read his article and didn't have to go back to the first two paragraphs to verify he original intention.

7. wouldn't you like
to be stuck in an elevator with him...so you could just pound his opinions into the ground. The guy is really dense...but then this is what seems to go for conservative thinking (or lack thereof) these days.

8. Not sure we have the credibility to thrust ourselves anywhere right now
Even with Obama in office. Not until we are out of Iraq anyway. It will take a long time for The U.S. to gain trust in that region again. It probably would hurt the protesters' cause.
