Lindsay Graham is saying the Senate Finance Committee has abandoned any public plan.
So that's the end of it, then? If I want Medicare for All I need to take to the streets and protest aggressively like an Iranian green revolutionary?

7. Abandonment implies that it was previously embraced
or even seriously considered by Mr. Baucus (D-MT). Yeah right. In a related story the Los Angeles Lakers have abandoned any plan to sign me to play power forward next season.

8. They are eventually going to have to conference with the house.
I hope the house doesn't back down. Obama is going to have to declare war on the insurance industry.

10. The Dems need to capitalize on this - the Repubs are nonresponsive to what their constituents
want. 50% of republicans said they want a public option alongside of private insurance - more than were against it. 87% of Dems said they wanted it. (72% of all surveyed).

The Republicans are not interested in being responsive to what the people they represent want. Why not? That's the message to get out in the public sphere.
