Woman on trial for raping 10 men

A Russian woman, dubbed the Black Widow for her love of horror films and spiders, is on trial for drugging and raping 10 men.

The woman, identified only as Valeria K., was charged by police for allegedly sedating and sexually abusing 10 men from the city of Tambov, Adelaide Now reports.

The 32-year-old woman would get acquainted with men before inviting them back to her place and giving them drinks laced with clonidine that put them to sleep for almost 24 hours.

During that time she would undress her victims and rape them by tightening a rope around their genitals to keep their penises erect. The men eventually would wake up in the hospital with clonidine poisoning and penis trauma. It was unclear how the men got to the hospital.

All of the men remembered the friendly brunette who gave them drinks, which helped police identify the woman. At present, police know about 10 victims, although one of them refused to file a complaint against her. The unnamed man said he “like hot women,” and thought the assault “was great.” He wished he hadn’t been drugged, however.

Rape is about power not sex. There are plenty of male rapists who might be aesthetically pleasing. Surely these men could easily pick up women for a one night stand that didn't involve drugs or physical force. But they don't. They assault women who don't want it.

So, this woman who is most likely attractive, could probably easily find a partner for consensual sex. My guess is that her need is not for a sexual partner, but to dominate.

And yes, there probably are men who think this all sounds kind of hot, just like there are women who enjoy reading bodice-ripper novels. That doesn't mean we actually want to experience that kind of thing.

If indeed this woman was looking to have power over these men, consent wasn't the issue and power was. Since women tend to not to be physically stronger than men, she used drugs. While one could physically have sex with a woman even if she is completely unwilling, for a man, at least one physiological response must be present for a woman to copulate with him. It seems she figured out a way to get this too.
