Twitpipe autoreloads up to three feeds and you can limit tweets to within X km of a geographic location.

I was using it last week to limit incoming tweets to within 10 km of Tehran.

Of course tweeters can change their setting, but I still like the site.

Twitter people, I hate to break it but the universe does not revolve around you. We aren't waiting with baited breath to hear the next pearls of wisdom that will show up on the form of undecipherable streams of consciousness 140 characters long.

Honest, nobody cares about your 140 characters of wisdom. 99.99999999999999% of twitter goes unread, which I guess is only slightly higher than the percentage we have here.

I agree that most of what passes for professional sports these days is a waste of time, but not a narcissistic one. Nobody watches sports because they thing the games revolve around the "world's best fan." Ohhhh, maybe you are right. I do see a parallel with those guys who show up at NFL games with their faces painted, hoping to get 2 seconds of fame on teevee. If they weren't illiterate, they would be on tweeting instead.

Plenty of people care about my 140 chars of wisdom, they cared here like there about my years of activism, the 40 odd Flash political attack ads we created at Takebackthemedia.com, some say we Invented the online pol attack ad, my three appearances on O'Reilly & Scarborough, boycotting Limbaugh, being sued for a half a million bucks by Michael Savage, my filming the Downing street Memos after flying 12 hours..

Activism is not nacissistic, it's practiced for everyones benefit, and there are plenty more like me making plans Instantaeously on Twitter..

Folks that hear about local Tornadoes from Twittering weather news guys on cell phones cannot be discounted, or earthquakes reported by People going Through them..

The Iran election is coming to each of us to be filtered and cross checked as WE want, not fucked up puff pieces by blowhard corpo blowhairs..

It's as real as a motorcycle wreck.. It works and these kids are part of a new world where I want to communicate with them as well..

Suppose someone told you the Internet was a bunch of nacissistic assholes, but you're here, one step away from the tanned & ready to fight version..

When I first signed up I must have clicked on something on the setting screen that kept my tweets from being seen by the general public. Had to watch the Twitter video a few minutes ago before I figured it out! So I UNclicked that option and NOW I can "see" what I post...of course, one has to look really QUICK cuz #iranelection is moving FAST!

Scooped every other news source, people didn't believe it.

Vandals, fans, or as the LAPD chief called them, "knuckleheads" terrorized drivers, smashed storefronts, lit fires, etc.

Same goes for the deaths in Iran, first one, then four, then seven. I was hours and hours before any other news source had these broadcast.
